Hello, there! Welcome to my page. I'm Ika Merdekawati from Indonesia, people call me Ika, Dika, Icha, or Merdeka. If you search my full name in Google, the result will be dozens of people having the same name with me. So, I prefer to simplify it to "Ika Merdeka", while for some social networking sites if you find username/account name "itawakedremaki", that's also me.
Anyway, I'm a 24-years-old postgraduate student in The University of Edinburgh, UK, majoring in Carbon Finance starting 2014. An Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan/LPDP) awardee as well. Previously I've worked as an auditor in one of the Big Four Global Public Accounting Firm in Indonesia, Ernst & Young for exactly 3 years and 9 months. Back in 2010, I graduated from Universitas Bakrie holding Bachelor of Economics, class of Accounting 2007.
I dream a lot ever since I was in my elementary school, I believe dreams strengthen my faith and build up my courage to makes it real. Dreams also who brought me here to the UK from an outlying village of Kutoarjo in Lampung, Indonesia.
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams" (Eleanor Roosevelt)
"All you dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them" (Walt Disney)I'm an introvert, serious and easily-being-motivated person. I like to read simple random things, novels, interesting blogs, finance books (as it's a must), and scrolling over social networking sites. Fan of pink, turquoise and 17. I'd love to travel around the globe, currently exploring the United Kingdom during my time studying here.
This page, Daily Doze of Personal Journalism, will record my daily, studying, travelling life, or simply interesting ideas popping up in my mind. Still learning to make up beautiful sentences, so pardon for some kind of awkward expressions in my page.
If you got any questions, drop me an email (ikamerdeka17@gmail.com) or simply post comments on my post, I'll gladly help.
Enjoy your time in my page!
Cheers, Ika
